going healthier
Sunday, April 13, 2014The last couple of months to a year I've been feeling very tired easily and I feel like I have less energy than I used to have. I mean I could easily go to bed around 11 or midnight and get up at 6 to go to school. Now I have to get up around the same time for work and I HAVE to go to bed around 9 or 10 at last to have the feeling of being rested. My routine is always a mess because of work.
My diet is really crap as well. I'm a vegetarian but because of health reasons I went back to eating fish over the last years and became a pescetarian. I really hate that even though I do enjoy an occasional fish burger; but it's not what I wanted when I went vegetarian.
It's hard for me to find things to eat as well because I'm not into the fake hamburgers or veggieburgers UNLESS it's like a veggie bicky burger and fried and stuff. Give me the 'chicken' like quorn thingies and I'll go nuts I could eat them every day but no burgers. I eat really crap like fried things, kebab, french fries, loads of pastas (not that bad but still)..
I'm still a petite girl and I'm not saying I'm getting fat at all, yet I've noticed a difference over the last years. I blow up very fast after meals and I feel very unhealthy. I haven't weighted myself in years but I don't want to either. When I was a teenager I freaked out when I would reach 50kg and I would eat less than I already did. I wasn't anorexic but I was quite aware and it was something I could control.
The last two weeks I've been taking vitamin B pills because as most people know vegetarians and vegans don't get that vitamin in their system easily because it's mainly found in meat and fish and dairy. That's another problem. I'm kind of transitioning to less milk and more soy milk and cutting down the cheese in my life. Which is really hard for me because I LOVE cheese. I don't eat any candy with gelatin.
Therefore I want to start eating healthier starting tomorrow, and working out. Between you and me, I can't even reach my toes, that's how out of shape I am.
If any of you have any tips for me to eat healthier or any sorts of exercises that might help me to get back into shape, less blowing up after meals, or recipes to get more vitamins into my system please let me know!
