My Christmas Traditions
Sunday, December 07, 2014Since American Idiot came out in 2004, I was 14 at the time, I've been listening non stop to it as a Christmas tradition. My parents and I used to drive around to watch other peoples Christmas lights and decorations so I'd put this in my Walkman (this was pre mp3 players and iphone era) and make sure to bring extra batteries with me! Ten years later I'm listening to their album right as we speak.
Fireworks on NYE are a huge tradition around the world and I have to say I love watching them from afar as well. My dog is quite scared of the noise so the last past years I've been comforting him in my room instead of actually watching them but still.
Enjoying walks by myself or my mum is another one. Most of the time it doesn't snow around here so I get pretty excited when it actually does!
I always love how much effort my parents put into our Christmas decorations. Now this year there's a chance of a blackout and shortage of electricity so we aren't decorating the outside of the house due to respect towards those who will be victim of the blackout. Nonetheless I love how cozy our living room is.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE lounging in knee high socks! They're so warm and comfy and cute looking. Ugh.
I'm a sucker for fairy lights EVERYWHERE. If I could I'd decorate the whole house with them. And as soon as I get my own place I might do that! I love lighting some candles and enjoy a good book or movie. Give me some hot chocolate soy milk and I'm set for the night.
