HOS. Awareness for Syria

Monday, August 17, 2015

Hello darlings,

today I'm going to write about something slightly different, more political. A few years ago I met this girl online, let's call her Annabelle, for safety reasons that is. We started talking online and soon we exchanged emails. She's been a good friend to me before the war in Syria even started.
After the war started we still talked occasionally online but not as frequent.

The last time we spoke Annabelle told me about this project some people have started up in the area. It's called HOS. Humans Of Syria. It's the same thing as HONY (Humans Of New York) except they tell the stories of how the war affected the people. They show the hurt but also the good. How they stick together and care for each other. How they still have dreams and how they will accomplish them no matter what.

Here are a few of the stories that touched me the most. I hope this raises a bit more awareness since Syria isn't as important to cover in the news that often it seems.. But every person in every country is important. And many innocent lives have been affected because of the war. And their story is as important as anyone elses. Enjoy.
