Saving torn dress | DIY
Wednesday, March 02, 2016Hello darlings,
A few weeks ago I went shopping with my friend and saw this beautiful long dress for summer. Unfortunately it was all torn up in the back, yet because of that it was on sale. I knew I had to buy it and fix it up some way or the other. A few days ago I did and I'm in love with how it turned out! I did everything by hand and I'm awful at sewing, yet it turned out great.
I hope summer comes soon..
step 1: draw the shape of how you want your back to look like (I used chalk)
step 2: cut roughly around it
step 3: secure the edges and sew them first
step 4: start sewing and just go with it. don't think too much about it, yet enough to make a decent shape
step 5: secure the edges on the inside with fabric glue. this will dry up clear after a while.
