Surgery diary days 3-6
Friday, August 01, 2014Hello darlings,
I've had quite a terrible week behind me to be honest. Tuesday I was very very sick of the narcotics that were used on Monday so I had to go back to my doctor just to make sure it was normal because I also bled a bit out of my nose which -apparently- is a bit unusual.
There also were some troubles with my medication as well, the ointment that I needed to get into my nose wasn't available anymore in the pharmacy so she needed to describe me another one.
I've also been sleeping rather terrible because my nose closes up even more than before the surgery and I have to breathe through my mouth. It hurts a lot and also because of the tube they put in my throat still has been sore. It's funny and sad at the same time but instead of tissues I've been using towels because during the day my nose keeps running. If someone had told me this would happen I don't think I would have had the surgery in the first place. Ofcourse I can't judge any of it until it's fully healed and I've been fully recovered but this is a bitch.
I'm tired most of the time and going for walks is like the biggest task of the day for me. My mother basicly has to drag me home and we aren't even going that far!
I'm on new medication as of yesterday because the ointment didn't work that well and although this leaves such a bad taste in my mouth I'm happy that I don't have to screw with the other stuff anymore.
I really thought the doctor was overreacting when she said I had to stay home for two weeks but now I understand why. Not only do I have to rinse (4-5 times a day) and use nose drops (3 times a day) I also walk around with my towel.
Everyone has been such a sweetheart to me while I've been bossing them around for food and drinks and icecream (because of the sore throat) I'm just so glad I don't have to get through this all by myself. So thank you all x
