Surgery diary day 1

Sunday, July 27, 2014

Hello darlings,

as you may or may not know I'll be having surgery tomorrow around noon. I've been having issues with my nose for the last couple of years and since my doctor couldn't find any reason for it to be he sent me to a specialist a few months ago. She did some tests and the only thing that's left to do about it is surgery.

Let's go back in time before I go on shall we. So every winter or colder/humid periods of time my nose is so so runny and every summer/hot periods of time my nose closes up and I can barely breathe. I tried numurous nose sprays, eucalyptus scents, allergy pills etc. None of these had any effect at all. My blood tests showed that I do not suffer from an allergy.

The doctor who is treating me now explained that the little swellings in my nose swell up way too much and they're over sensitive. Everybody has these swellings and from time to time they swell up to renew tissue. Yet mine swell too much and a little piece will be taken away/burned away during this surgery.

I've had so many problems because of it; hyper sensitive nose, allergy like symptoms, I even had to take my septum  piercing out because it would hurt so badly because of the runny nose.

I'm quite nervous about it. But I'm really glad to know what's going on and that it is treatable. I won't have to stay at the hospital. I have to check myself in tomorrow at 12 and I will be going home tomorrow evening.

It'll get worse for the next two weeks after the surgery so I'm not allowed to work. I will try to stay up to date about my recovery, I know this sounds worse than it actually is (according to my mum) but I know me and I know I'll be a baby about it and will be in pain and cry for the least things.

I do want to thank my close friends already for their support and the fact they want to come visit me.

Much love, xo Zoƫ
